In the ports of Gdynia and Gdańsk the Polish PCS (Port Community System) has implemented a service of automatic release of containers after the end of notification handling in the marketing authorization procedure by the AIS/IMPORT system.
For this purpose, the declarant should state in the customs declaration heading,
in the place intended for email address, the entity managing a temporary storage warehouse to which the DS299 message shall be sent, email address customs_cargo@polskipcs.pl (from the technical perspective, this takes place in an IT program dedicated to customs declarations).
In consequence, the Polish PCS will receive the DS299 communication in the form of data identifying the container in the Container Terminal and will process it onto the CUSRES communication for an individual IT system of the Container Terminal.
We encourage all declarants, dealing with container turnover in import direction at the BCT Container Terminal to use the above-mentioned solution,
because from 15 March 2022 we discontinue signing of agreements that would enable access to the MAINSAIL operating system only and exclusively to release containers after customs clearance.
