BCT has many years of experience in general cargo and oversize cargo handling, which translates into several hundred efficiently handled vessels with non-containerized cargo.

The general cargo department undertakes the transhipment of heavy and oversized cargo on all land and sea routes.

BCT mainly handles sheet metal in coils, sheets and plates (steel castings - slabs). It also handles wind tower components and all kinds of steel structures, cranes, transformers, construction and military machinery. Additionally, the cargo handling operations at the terminal include transshipment of steel pipes and GRP pipes (glass fibre). BCT also carries out handling (lashing and unlashing) of oversize cargo from and onto flat rack and open top containers.

The BCT superstructure allows for the handling of cargo with a weight of up to 150 tonnes and a length of up to 60 metres.
